About this role

This is a public tender, not a job vacancy. You bid for it through the buyer's own procurement process, submitting a proposal and pricing rather than a CV.

The appointed consultant will prepare a comprehensive Activity & Interpretation Plan which demonstrates how people will engage with St Peter's Church and the wider heritage of Thetford through:

  • Learning;
  • Volunteering;
  • Skills development;
  • Community engagement;
  • Interpretation;
  • Participation;
  • Events;
  • Training;
  • Outreach activities.

The consultant shall ensure that the Activity & Interpretation Plan is fully aligned with NLHF requirements and capable of supporting a successful Delivery Phase application.

The Activity Plan shall identify opportunities for community involvement, volunteering, learning, training, events and wider public engagement, together with recommendations for sustainable delivery and long-term legacy.

The Interpretation Plan shall identify and communicate the key heritage themes, stories and significance of St Peter's Church, establish target audiences, and develop recommendations for accessible and engaging interpretation that supports the project's vision and outcomes.

The Consultant shall ensure that both plans are fully integrated and aligned with the requirements of the National Lottery Heritage Fund and other funding stakeholders, providing a practical framework for implementation during the Delivery Phase.
