8-week programme
Small-group coaching for freelancers who want to pitch with confidence, present with clarity, and speak up for the work that matters.
A collaboration between Freelancing for Good and Speak Up For Good.
Our first cohort opens soon. Join the waiting list and you'll be the first to know when registration opens — with full details and pricing.
You're great at what you do. But winning work, keeping clients, and growing your reputation? That takes communication skills most freelancers are expected to just figure out.
Pitching feels awkward
Learn to talk about your work with conviction — without sounding salesy or rehearsed.
You undersell yourself
Build the confidence to name your value clearly, whether that's in a call, a proposal, or a rate negotiation.
Presentations make you anxious
Practice in a safe, supportive group until presenting feels natural — not terrifying.
You avoid putting yourself out there
Get comfortable being visible — speaking at events, going on podcasts, or just unmuting on a call.
Staying top of mind feels like a chore
Find the confidence to post authentically and put your head above the parapet online — so the right clients find you.
It's not just about work
The confidence you build here doesn't stay at your desk. You carry it into every part of your life — showing up more authentic, self-expressed, and at ease.

Speaking & Confidence Coach · Co-founder, FFG
Alistair has been freelancing for 15+ years and is the founder of Speak Up For Good, where he coaches professionals to communicate with confidence and authenticity. He works with freelancers, founders, and non-profit leaders — helping them pitch, present, and speak up for the work that matters.
He leads every pod session personally, bringing a warm, practical approach that meets people exactly where they are.
“The way you stayed at ease and heard my questions inspired me to do the same — to take my time and own my speaking. This was one of the most impactful coaching sessions I’ve had.”
Evelyn Q
Coaching client
“You gave me personalised feedback that really helped. I actually spoke for the entire hour, which I’m not used to, and it felt great! You helped me believe more in my own skills as a speaker.”
Liudmila
Coaching client
“Through thoughtful questions and a very human approach, I’ve got a simple plan with steps for what I can do in my situation starting immediately.”

8 weeks of practical, progressive coaching. Each session builds on the last — so by the end, you're not just “better at speaking” — you've genuinely changed how you show up.
Week 1
Learn to use silence as a tool. Stop rushing, start landing your points with weight.
Week 2
Move beyond monotone. Use pace, tone, and rhythm to make people actually listen.
Week 3
Connect with the meaning behind your words. When you care, your audience does too.
Week 4
Understand why your brain creates anxiety before speaking — and how to work with it, not against it.
Week 5
Identify and let go of the narratives holding you back — "I'm not a natural speaker", "I'll mess it up".
Week 6
Learn to tell stories that connect. Structure your experiences into moments that move people.
Week 7
Shift from surviving presentations to actually enjoying them. Find your natural style.
Week 8
Put it all together for the moments that matter most: pitches, pricing conversations, and closing.
The curriculum is a guide — we adapt it to the needs and feedback of each group, so the sessions stay relevant to where you are.
Live, expert-led coaching in a pod of 3–4 freelancers. One session per week — practical, focused, and built around real freelance situations.
Pods are kept small (3–4 people) so everyone gets real time to practise, be heard, and get personal feedback. You grow together, make lasting connections, and build a real community you can keep practising with in your own time.
Full access to Speak Up For Good’s library of speaking drills for the duration of the programme — so you can practise between sessions and build real muscle memory.
Practise the moments that actually matter: client calls, pitches, pricing conversations, presentations, and networking.
Launch offer — get a personal one-on-one session with Alistair to work on whatever matters most to you. Pitching, a specific presentation, nerves — your call.
Your own channel in the Freelancing for Good Slack, just for Speak Up participants — arrange your calls, practise together, and collaborate long after the pod ends.
Secure your place with a one-off payment of £200. No subscriptions, no hidden costs.
You’ll be placed in a small pod of 3–4 fellow freelancers. We keep pods intimate so everyone gets time to practise and be heard.
One session per week for 8 weeks. Each session builds on the last — from foundations to real-world application.
Use the Speak Up For Good speaking drills — free for the duration of the programme — to reinforce what you’ve learned.
We want you to feel confident signing up. If after the first two sessions you don't feel this is right for you, we'll refund you in full — no questions asked.
