About this role
Project Slingshot is looking for a Senior Creative Editor. As part of the creative team, you will help produce high quality content and assets that effectively communicate with audiences working to end factory farming. You'll take raw material, understand what's really there and find the strongest story within it, shaping everything from poignant documentaries to sharp social content.
Responsibilities
- Find and shape stories from interviews, rushes, archive and existing content, building strong narrative arcs
- Own creative edits from conception to delivery
- Collaborate with communications, creative and marketing teams
- Bring references, trends and ideas to the team
- Create work that grips people, using hooks, emotion, tension, revelation, rhythm and payoff appropriately for each format
- Keep an eye on emerging creators, editing styles and formats, ensuring work feels contemporary and culturally relevant
- Bring exceptional craft to shot selection, pacing, music, sound design, graphics and grade
- Move confidently between documentaries, campaign films, and social content with fast-turnaround capability
- Bring a point of view, improve the story and explain editorial decisions clearly to senior leadership
- Create strong motion graphics, typography and titles in After Effects
- Develop an editorial style that feels distinctive, contemporary and difficult to ignore
Requirements
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating storytelling judgement as well as technical craft
- Highly experienced in Adobe Premiere Pro and confident in After Effects
- Understanding of what makes great long-form editorial and social content that stops the scroll
- Strong instincts around music, sound design, colour, typography, composition and pacing
- Ability to work independently with large volumes of material and turn ambiguity into clear creative direction
- Open to feedback, confident enough to challenge when it matters, able to explain creative decisions with authority and objectivity
- Curious, culturally aware and excited by work that can make a genuine difference
- Excited to join the mission to end factory farming
