Generalist (Workshops)

Kairos is looking for a Generalist (Workshops) to deliver workshops that help exceptional people pursue high-impact work in AI safety, biosecurity, and policy. You'll own the operational backbone of the Global Challenges Project, a portfolio of three-day residential workshops serving talented individuals exploring careers in AI safety and biosecurity. This role offers excellent opportunities for progression as Kairos expands its workshop portfolio.

• Own operational workstreams end to end, including outreach, venue search and contracting, catering, participant and guest travel, inventory, and on-site logistics
• Run admissions and participant operations, including building application and RSVP forms, coordinating selection processes, sending decisions, and managing onboarding communications
• Coordinate high-quality guests by tracking invitations, chasing confirmations, and serving as a point of contact throughout their experience
• Deliver workshops in person by traveling to events (predominantly in the UK and US) and helping run them on the ground
• Build systems that scale using Notion, Airtable, Linear, and custom automations to improve playbooks and templates
• Help shape workshop strategy across GCP and new workshop programs
• Contribute to Kairos more broadly, including work on other programs like SPAR and Pathfinder

• Operations generalist with events experience (workshops, conferences, retreats, or demanding operational work)
• Highly organized with strong systems for managing multiple workstreams and deadlines
• High-agency mindset: spot problems early, fix them proactively, and adapt when plans change
• High quality bar with attention to detail and commitment to attendee experience
• Good interpersonal skills and energized by in-person workshop environments
• Mission-aligned with deep care about AI safety and biotechnology development; familiarity with the AI safety ecosystem is a plus but not required
• Ability to travel 8-12 times per year (typically 3-6 days at a time) for workshops and events
