Impactful Policy Careers helps mission-aligned professionals move into high-impact EU policy roles in global health, development, animal welfare and food systems.
We’re looking for someone to help our participants turn their training week in Brussels into lasting policy careers, by connecting them with the right opportunities.
You might be a great fit if you have EU institution or Member State policy experience, know how policy careers work, and bring global health and development expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support placements: assess fit, match candidates, guide applications and interviews, and make introductions. • Build relationships with hiring managers and relevant units to understand demand and barriers. • Explore additional pathways with program leads, using country-specific expertise where needed. • Bring global health and development expertise and speaker recommendations to the September 2027 One Health cohort. • Advise selected senior and non-Blue Book candidates, and coordinate alumni support with program leads. • Maintain the vetted alumni and civil-servant network, protect confidentiality, and keep progression data current with the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, including role relevance and IPC’s contribution.
• Policy context. Experience working in EU institutions or a Member State policy context.
• How policy careers work. Knowledge of how people enter and progress in policy careers.
• Global health and development expertise. Subject expertise strong enough to advise candidates and contribute credibly to program content.
• Interpersonal and communication skills. Able to build trust with candidates, alumni, and hiring managers, and to give honest advice that people can act on.
• Mission commitment. A serious interest in IPC’s work and in getting talented people into roles where policy decisions impact lives at scale.
