About this role
Good Impressions is looking for an Engagement Manager to lead paid advertising campaigns designed to recruit talent into high-impact programs, reach small groups of people crucial to clients' theory of change, and more. This role is central to closing the gap between the world's most effective organizations and the people who could act on their work. No marketing experience required.
Responsibilities
- Lead campaigns end to end, from meeting with clients to understand goals and constraints through to analysing and communicating results,
- Set campaign strategy including audiences, messaging, and channel mix, working with the Campaign Manager and specialists,
- Own creative and messaging, and partner with the Campaign Manager to launch and run campaigns across platforms,
- Execute complex, multi-stakeholder projects while maintaining momentum and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks,
- Monitor campaign performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and iterate quickly,
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicating clearly, proactively, and with transparency,
- Identify critical communication gaps in the effective altruism landscape that Good Impressions should address,
- Stay current with priorities and debates across served cause areas,
- Build, automate, and document processes, and pilot new offerings,
- Experiment with AI tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of work
Requirements
- Strong track record in a high-expectation professional services environment such as management consulting,
- At least 5 years of professional work experience,
- Proactive communication, strong organisation, sound decision-making, and rigour to build strong client relationships,
- Active engagement in the effective altruism community and motivation to do high-impact work,
- Deep alignment with Good Impressions' values: impact first, own the mission, look for better ways, be radically helpful, overcommunicate, constantly improve,
- Care deeply about doing high-impact work and seeing communications as important to achieving it,
- [Bonus] Marketing or communications experience (not required; role is learnable)
