About this role
EIT Culture & Creativity is looking for a (Senior) Communications Manager.
This is a full-time position to plan, produce and deliver EIT Culture & Creativity's core communications programmes across Europe. You will be the operational lead translating the organization's editorial agenda into campaigns, content and events that reach industry, investors, policymakers and Europe's creative communities, while leading the day-to-day team to deliver them.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver integrated campaigns across digital, social, newsletters, publications and event communications
- Lead the editorial calendar in partnership with the Head of Communications, ensuring consistent and timely news flow
- Commission and edit content from freelancers, agencies and internal contributors to high standards
- Own day-to-day performance of EIT CC's owned channels, including KPI tracking against targets
- Manage relationships with copy, media PR, digital and website agencies
- Continuously test and optimise channel mix, content formats and audience targeting
- Provide programme-level communications support across Education, Business Creation and Innovation Projects
- Coordinate communications for flagship events end-to-end
- Liaise with the Regional Hub network to ensure consistent message, tone and visual identity
- Coordinate the wider freelance and agency pool
- Maintain editorial guidelines, templates and brand assets
- Support the Head of Communications with budget tracking, reporting and EIT-mandated documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, cultural management, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in communications, content or campaign management, ideally in innovation, policy, media or creative-industry context
- Dynamic, narrative-focused storyteller comfortable working across multiple platforms
- Proven ability to manage multi-channel programmes end-to-end and move work forward at pace
- Experience in functional leading or coordinating small teams, including mentoring freelancers and agencies
- Experience commissioning and managing external creative and PR partners
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional EU languages are a strong asset
- Strong project-management and organisational skills
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones in a pan-European environment
Desirable:
- Exposure to innovation, creative industries, media or public-sector communications
- Familiarity with Innovation and Start-up Programmes and EU programmes (EIT, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe)
- Working understanding of digital tools such as WordPress, Hootsuite/Buffer, GA4, Mailchimp and CRM tools
