About this role

EIT Culture & Creativity is looking for a Communications Officer. This is a dynamic, hands-on communications role supporting the day-to-day delivery of EIT Culture & Creativity's communications programme.

You will help bring the organization's narrative to life across multiple platforms—from drafting and scheduling content to coordinating freelancers and supporting flagship events—reporting directly to the Head of Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, schedule and publish content across EIT C&C's owned channels — Digital Hub, social platforms, newsletters,
  • Maintain the editorial calendar in coordination with the Senior Communications Manager,
  • Support performance tracking and reporting against BP 2026–2028 KPIs,
  • Provide hands-on support for flagship campaigns and events (Innovation Forum, Creative Skills Week, Ars Electronica, NEB activities),
  • Coordinate logistics for content production — briefing freelancers, gathering assets, managing approvals,
  • Help maintain brand templates, editorial guidelines and asset libraries,
  • Ensure EIT Community visibility compliance across all outputs,
  • Support administrative and reporting tasks linked to WP7 deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (communications, journalism, marketing, or equivalent), or comparable practical experience,
  • Experience in a communications, editorial, content or digital marketing role,
  • Excellent storytelling and content writing skills with the ability to adapt messages across different audiences and channels (social, web, newsletter, event collateral),
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; additional EU languages are welcome,
  • Experience using common content, social and analytics tools (e.g. WordPress, Hootsuite / Buffer, GA4, Mailchimp or similar),
  • Hands-on, organised, reliable and detail-oriented,
  • Team-oriented, comfortable working with senior staff in a fast-paced environment,
Desirable:
  • Exposure to innovation, creative, media or policy environments,
  • Familiarity with EU-funded programmes (e.g. EIT, Horizon Europe, Creative Europe) and the EIT Community brand framework,
  • Light multimedia skills (basic design, photo or video editing),
  • Interest in the cultural and creative sectors and industries
