Digital Marketing Manager (Mat Cover)

Cool Earth is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager. This is a maternity cover position where you'll lead digital and press strategy to amplify Cool Earth's mission of protecting rainforests by supporting Indigenous and local communities.

You'll be the strategic voice driving engagement across digital channels, managing teams, and turning complex climate stories into compelling narratives that inspire action and drive donor conversion.

• Lead digital and press strategies across website, social media, email, and press to increase visibility and engagement,
• Manage Digital and Press Officers to deliver campaigns that drive KPIs through 2026-2027,
• Develop and oversee organic and paid social media strategies in collaboration with in-country coordinators and agency partners,
• Transform frontline stories from rainforest communities into high-quality, compelling content,
• Champion website excellence, working with web agencies on SEO, content optimisation, and user experience,
• Build and nurture relationships with media, journalists, and global influencers for press coverage,
• Lead email marketing strategy using DotDigital and Salesforce to build automated journeys and supporter engagement,
• Monitor performance data and provide insights to Head of Marketing and Communications for continuous optimisation,
• Test, optimise, and implement recommendations to expand supporter base and improve conversion rates

• Proven track record of building high-impact PR and marketing strategies,
• Deep knowledge of social media trends and AI capabilities for content optimisation,
• Experience leading and coaching teams across multiple locations,
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Google Analytics and CRM platforms,
• Ability to build relationships with journalists, media contacts, and internal stakeholders,
• Genuine commitment to environmental justice and humanitarian principles,

• AEO/GEO understanding,
• Experience in environmental or social justice sector,
• Experience in international fundraising and marketing,
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish
