Center for AI Safety is looking for a Social & Community Manager. CAIS is a leading research and advocacy organization focused on mitigating societal-scale risks from AI. Public awareness remains the single biggest bottleneck in AI safety, and you will run CAIS's daily presence across platforms and build the community and conversations that move their ideas through the culture.
• Translate technical research into clear, engaging, story-driven social media content.
• Own the content calendar and publishing strategy across social channels and other owned platforms, determining what content to share, where to publish it, and when to maximise impact.
• Manage community engagement by monitoring comments, responding appropriately, maintaining brand voice, and encouraging meaningful discussion around content.
• Build and nurture an amplifier network of creators, content curators, and influential community members through proactive outreach and the provision of ready-to-share content assets.
• Conduct social listening to identify trends, audience insights, and engagement opportunities.
• Develop and document the social media playbook, content calendar processes, and supporting technology stack to enable future team growth and scalability.
• 5–7 years’ experience managing brand or creator social media accounts, with a proven track record of driving audience growth and engagement.
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical concepts into clear, accessible, and compelling content.
• Native understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, combined with strong community-building instincts.
• Exceptional judgement, with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of outcomes with minimal supervision.
