About this role

B Lab Europe is looking for a Communications Lead.

As Communications Lead for B Lab Nordics, you will be the communications expert and hero in the team, activating and growing the Nordics B Corp Community while strengthening the position and brand awareness of B Lab Nordics across the Nordic countries.

You will build awareness, reputation and engagement to attract participants to events, grow the community of B Corps and increase share of voice through content creation, community activation, PR, strategy and European collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Create digital and physical content and materials (social posts, newsletters, email send-outs, web copy, postcards, banners)
  • Build and maintain the website and other owned channels, ensuring content is up to date and on-brand
  • Create, tailor and publish relevant content across Nordic channels and monitor effectiveness to continuously improve performance
  • Tailor global or European content to a Nordic context for added relevance and impact
  • Activate the B Corp Community with engaging content and concepts across social media, website, newsletters and campaigns
  • Manage the Nordic B Corp communicator network and maintain relationships with local B Corps
  • Help organize and deliver events, sessions and workshops, including visual and graphical templates and content
  • Support PR opportunities and media inquiries, and coordinate with European and global colleagues
  • Maintain reputational risk management preparedness and contribute to issues/crisis answers
  • Develop and publish thought leadership content, and support advocacy initiatives
  • Develop and execute the Nordic communication strategy, aligned with Nordic, European and global priorities
  • Translate strategic objectives into annual/quarterly communication plans and campaigns
  • Monitor and adjust activities against goals and budget using data from web, social, newsletters and surveys
  • Represent the Nordic team in European Communication Circles and similar forums
  • Collaborate closely with Nordic colleagues to ensure communications are integrated into cross-team priorities
  • Advise the B Lab Nordics Manager and team leads on communications opportunities, risks and narratives

Requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in one of the Nordic languages and in English, in both writing and speaking, with ability to adapt tone and style for different channels and audiences
  • Background in Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience in marketing communications, with exposure to sustainability topics, and interest in turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories
  • Ability to develop and execute communication concepts end-to-end, driving stakeholder engagement in a professional business or organizational environment
  • Ability to plan and produce a continuous flow of social media content and optimize performance on platforms such as LinkedIn and Instagram, using analytics and KPIs
  • Comfortable working strategically and operationally with KPIs, performance measurement and campaign follow-up (e.g. Google Analytics), and using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce)
  • Skilled in managing and updating websites (e.g. WordPress) and creating visual assets using design tools such as Photoshop and Canva
  • Confident in organizing and presenting at both online and offline events
  • Familiarity with PR, local media networks/contacts and local market dynamics (considered an advantage)
  • Passionate about the role that business can play in creating a future that benefits all people and the planet
  • Well structured in way of working and brings a problem-solving mindset
  • Keen to follow what is happening in the Nordics within sustainability, politics and culture
  • Natural communicator able to communicate and present effectively in English
  • Thrives in non-hierarchical organisations and enjoys working in culturally diverse teams
  • Oriented towards audience and stakeholders, and recognizes and addresses issues as they arise
  • Energetic doer who enjoys managing multiple projects and stakeholders while meeting regular deadlines
  • Happy working in a team, involving others in decisions and helping them in theirs, and comfortable working independently
