Animal Aid is looking for a Campaign Manager - Shooting and Wildlife Lead. Join us as Campaign Manager for Shooting, taking forward a long standing and high-profile body of work that has exposed cruelty, influenced policy, and driven national debate. This is a rare opportunity to build on a powerful legacy while shaping the future direction of campaigns to end the suffering caused by shooting.
• Steward and strengthen existing campaign approaches while identifying new opportunities to increase impact and drive meaningful change.
• Manage investigations by reviewing footage, documenting breaches, gathering evidence, and preparing compelling exposés to support campaign objectives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with policymakers, decision-makers, and other key stakeholders to influence policy and practice.
• Write and speak with clarity, confidence, and authority on issues relating to shooting and snares, representing the organisation effectively across a range of audiences.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure campaign activity remains strategically aligned, connected, and influential.
• Contribute across the wider organisation by supporting broader campaigning initiatives and cross-functional projects where required.
• Challenge entrenched practices and established industries with resilience, determination, and a strong commitment to achieving lasting change.
• Demonstrated commitment to ending the suffering caused by shooting and snares, with a passion for advancing meaningful and systemic change.
• Understanding of, and respect for, the history of this area of work and the importance of building upon an established programme of campaigning activity.
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities while preserving and strengthening approaches that have already proven effective.
• Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to managing investigations, reviewing evidence, and documenting breaches accurately and effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues with clarity, confidence, and authority.
• Ability to engage constructively and persuasively with policymakers, decision-makers, and other influential stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, partners, and external organisations to maximise collective impact.
• Flexibility and willingness to contribute across the wider organisation, supporting broader campaign priorities where needed.
• Resilience, determination, and the confidence to challenge injustice and entrenched practices in pursuit of lasting change.
