Emily Gorham

Hey, I'm Emily! I'm a freelance graphic designer with over 7 years experience. I started out working in world-renowned London design agencies such as Design Bridge, before moving to an in-house role at a charity where I was promoted to Graphic Design Lead after 3 years at the organisation, during which I helped to develop and launch a major rebrand. I'm now fully freelance and specialise in working with charities, non-profits and purpose-driven businesses to develop brand identities packed full of personality and purpose. I have a strong eye for detail and would consider my biggest strength within design to be typography and layout. I like to approach every project strategically and logically - I often work largely with words when starting a new piece of work and usually find that a word or phrase is what inspires my best ideas. Most of my notebooks are filled with mind maps and scrawled words, rather than lots of sketches. I think in words, which I then bring to life visually - that seems to be how my mind works and what makes me tick!
