About

Throughout my career, I have specialized in capacity-building initiatives for unions, advocacy organizations, and community groups across the United States and internationally. Whether working with emerging unions or established member-led organizations, I have consistently developed and implemented training frameworks that translate vision into action. My approach is rooted in collaboration: I work closely with stakeholders to identify needs, co-create learning objectives, and design tailored curricula that drive both immediate outcomes and long-term growth. As Campaigns Director at Solidarity Center, I led the development of multi-country training programs focused on combating gender-based violence in the workplace and advancing protections for informal economy workers. I facilitated workshops and learning series—both in-person and virtually—across 26 countries, ensuring that our curriculum was accessible, relevant, and grounded in the lived experiences of participants. These programs not only built organizing skills but also fostered cross-border solidarity and democratic leadership. During my tenure as Deputy Director of the Public Services Division at Teamsters International, I created and implemented a comprehensive webinar series to keep public service workers informed and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. I also designed and executed a multi-track conference for member learning and development, bringing together hundreds of participants for skill-building and strategic planning. My capacity-building efforts ensured that members and leaders were equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities. At the American Federation of Teachers, I developed organizer training curricula and facilitated leadership development programs that supported contract negotiations, new organizing drives, and political campaigns. My work consistently resulted in successful outcomes, including a 103% turnout at the University of Chicago campaign and the passage of critical policy initiatives, such as securing $33 million for early childhood education in Cincinnati. Through Amorosa Consulting, I have continued to support organizations in building internal capacity, designing custom training modules, and facilitating strategic planning sessions. My consulting practice emphasizes participatory learning, equity, and sustainability—ensuring that organizations are not only effective in the short term but are also positioned for long-term impact. I am deeply committed to advancing racial and gender equity through my work. My training programs and curricula are designed to center the voices of those most impacted and to create pathways for leadership among women, people of color, and other marginalized groups. Whether raising the minimum wage for nursing home staff or expanding access to early childhood education, I have seen firsthand the transformative power of building capacity at every level of an organization.
