Job Description
B Lab UK is part of the global B Corp movement, with the mission to inspire and enable people to use business as a force for good. Certified B Corps seek to redefine success in business by putting social and environmental impact on a par with profit. There are now over 10,000 B Corps spanning 102 countries and 160+ sectors, with many well-known brands including Patagonia, The Guardian, Giff Gaff and Divine Chocolate. Over 2,700 of those businesses are in the UK.
In the newly created role of Growth Coordinator, you’ll focus on exploring new opportunities to foster growth through the promotion of the B Corp movement, the B Lab Standards and the support tools we’ve built to help businesses on their impact journey. This includes:
- Identifying and nurturing collaboration and partnerships to engage businesses and raise awareness of the B Corp movement.
- Generating leads that bring new businesses into the movement through our products, including training, programmes and certification.
- Developing new ways to increase the value of being a B Corp to businesses and the ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Partnerships Development
- Identify and develop opportunities to grow the B Corp movement, and
generate product leads with partner organisations. - Assess, respond, and track inbound enquiries to B Lab UK for potential
partnerships. - Track and report on emerging opportunities and established partnerships
through relevant Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems. - Explore and generate leads for new partnerships or ways to deepen
engagement.
Partnership Delivery
- Maintain relationships with established partner organisations to deliver
agreed goals and objectives. - Support and coordinate the planning and roll-out of a partnership delivery
plan, including activities such as:- Preparing and delivering workshops and events;
- Delivering presentations at events and webinars;
- Coordinating with colleagues and B Corp Consultants to deliver
workshops and training for businesses.
- Monitor data and the impact of partnership activations in accordance with organisational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Identify ways to learn and improve from partnership engagements to refine our approach for future engagements.
- Work with the Partnerships & Product Manager to test and enhance revenue-generating products, exploring new product ideas to support businesses.
Events and Engagements
- Feed into the development of the annual events strategy, supporting the Partnerships & Product Manager to map out growth engagements for the year.
- Act as a professional and approachable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to partnership queries promptly and accurately.
- Represent B Lab UK at relevant virtual or in-person events and engagement activities across the UK and assist in capturing feedback, sharing learnings, and opportunities with the team.
- Identify, connect and nurture opportunities with partner business networks, local councils and other similar organisations.
- Raise awareness of the B Corp movement by engaging stakeholders with B Lab’s products and services.
Team Working
- Provide regular status updates on progress and impact to the team and wider organisation to help improve B Lab’s products and services.
- Collaborate with our Customer Success Coordinator and Product Coordinator to ensure a consistent and clear customer journey from lead generation through to certification and/or adoption of other products, including training and consultancy support.
- Support B Lab UK’s Community and Impact team in leveraging our B Corp Community to help grow the movement through our B Local, B Social, collective action initiatives, and policy work.
- Engage with B Lab UK’s Marketing, Communications and Campaigns Team to identify opportunities to amplify our stories and campaigns of influence through our partnerships.
Role Requirements
Essential:
- Ability to build strong and lasting relationships/partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, centred on collaboration and trust.
- Commercially-minded, with an understanding of how businesses and networks operate, and able to apply this in day-to-day work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently about the B Corp movement, the B Lab Standards and support offerings for businesses in the UK
- Proficiency in coordinating and delivering projects, events and other engagement activities, including logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights.
- Ability and willingness to travel to attend in-person events and meetings where necessary.
Desirable
Desirable skills (not essential and can be developed in the role):
- Demonstrable application of design-led, user-centred approaches to product
and service development. - Proficient use of Salesforce, Pardot, or equivalent CRM and marketing automation systems.
