Making a Pledge
By pledging to support effective charities, you can inject new meaning and purpose into your freelance work.
Do you ever wonder what’s the point, when you’re dealing with your eighth round of revisions on a client project?
Add a whole new dimension of meaning into your freelancing by considering taking a pledge to donate a proportion of your earnings from client work to effective charities.Â
We’ve partnered with Giving What We Can to create a giving pledge for freelancers. By committing to join our pledge club, you can do incredible good in the world.
What is the 🔸 10% Pledge?
The 🔸 10% Pledge is a public commitment to donate at least 10% of your lifetime income to the world’s most effective charities.
This is not a commitment to be taken likely and many pledgers begin with the 🔹 Trial Pledge – a commitment to donate at least 1% of your income for any period you choose.
This is a great way to start making a difference and see the impact of your generosity.
How does it work for freelancers?
The great thing about the pledge is that it scales with your earnings.
Further information on how to calculate your self-employment income can be found on GWWC’s site.Â
If you’re interested in what this is all about, reach out to us and we’ll be more than happy to jump on a call with you to discuss your options.
