Job Description

This role is fully remote and is open to candidates located in the UK or Europe. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in anthropology, behavioural science, Human Computer Interaction or similar, demonstrating a deep understanding of human behaviour and decision-making. This role requires an individual capable of working independently, proactively taking initiatives, and a strong interest in continuous improvement.

Projects will range from the evaluative to discovery research, you will also apply your knowledge to interpret research findings, analyse user behaviour, and provide unique insights guiding our product development. You’ll work within the strategic needs of our company, delivering research that significantly impacts product design and user experience within your assigned teams.

Responsibilities

As a User Researcher at Zoe, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end design, planning, and execution of user research studies independently with minimal support.
  • Leverage your knowledge of various research methods to provide deep insights into user behaviour and interaction.
  • Analyse data and present clear and comprehensive reports based on your research findings.
  • Collaborate efficiently with product and experience teams and translate research findings into actionable design and product improvements.
  • Take the initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to anticipating opportunities and addressing challenges.
  • Enhancing our processes and documentation in user research.
  • Actively participate in user research initiatives and support junior researchers in their projects.
  • Handle most ‘requests’ for research from the team with a clear scope

Role Requirements

This role will be a great fit if you:

  • Have good knowledge of anthropology, behavioural science, Human Computer Interaction or a related field,
  • Have 3-5 years of experience leading user research initiatives,
  • Are well-versed in a variety of mixed research methods including, but not limited to, ethnographic field studies, lab and remote usability studies, participatory design sessions, user surveys, and data analysis,
  • Are able to analyse large sets of quantitative data (like survey data) and collaborate with data teams to turn this into meaningful user insights,
  • Can synthesise qualitative/quantitative data quickly, turning complex research data into actionable product initiatives,
  • Are proactive and take the initiative in identifying opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to communicate and present research clearly, articulating the rationale behind the chosen method and recommendations,
  • Have experience working independently in a remote, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
