Job Description

You’ll join a mighty team of multidisciplinary Product Designers, Brand Designers and UX researchers, who are passionate about creating impact through their work. We are a diverse bunch of people from ex-IDEO, Miro, KPMG, Google, and more – bringing together a unique skill set and human attitude to make science understandable, personalised and actionable for millions.

We care about the business and user equally to make our long-term mission a success.

You will join ZOE as a founding member of a Content Design team. You will shape how we design with words, structure information, and lead with metaphors and clear mental models. As a Content Design Lead, you’ll work closely with multiple teams and problems. You will be hands-on on content-heavy problems while guiding the product design team and reviewing the day-to-day design work across the board.

Being a one-person function comes with some challenges and opportunities: defining the ways of working, educating peers on your craft, setting up expectations, and managing multiple streams of work simultaneously. All that is to support ZOE’s mission and improve the health of millions.

Content Design is not a magical word choice for us. It’s an intentional act of creating an experience for ZOE members that drives business impact through clarity and genuine care. Write well, edit often and log your meals.

This is a full-time position. However, we can be flexible on the specific arrangements and would be happy to discuss part-time, job-share or other flexible arrangements if required.

Responsibilities

As a Content Design Lead at ZOE, you will be:

  • Working directly with product design, product management, marketing, UX research, and support to create solutions to strategic problems with a focus on an optimal user experience.
  • Writing content across our product journey in partnership with design, product management, and engineering to ensure our overall strategy meets both product goals and customer needs.
  • Planning and writing content for product experiences across all touch points, including things like:
  • Improving user onboarding and product education
  • Crafting exciting science lessons
  • Improving and growing our knowledge base/help centre content
  • Creating a connected, coherent, and clear experience for our users throughout their journey
  • Evaluating and iterating on your content’s impact based on user feedback, user research, and analytics.

Role Requirements

You might be a particularly good fit for this role if you have:

  • Extensive experience as a Content Designer or UX Writer, preferably with some background in writing for tech products. Experience with product UI copy and microcopy is a plus.
  • You are an autonomous worker, you can work independently with ease and without supervision.
  • Storytelling is a strength, you have excellent writing skills that engages audiences.
  • Working in tech environments is natural for you and you collaborate well with Product, Engineering and Design teams.
  • Content standards around style, voice and tone guidelines are familiar to you.
  • A high attention to detail, you can produce high-quality work in quick turnarounds.
  • The ability to think strategically, and be smart about execution.

Benefits

Aside from ensuring the industry-benchmark compensation package and providing you with all the hardware and software you need, we have worked hard for our list of benefits to be focused on things that matter to our team members most:

  • Remote-first: work from home, pop into our London/Boston offices, or work within the EU; you have flexibility to choose your own place of work and work flexibly.
  • Stock options: we want everyone to be rewarded for contribution to our growth .
  • Paid time-off: on top of any national / bank holidays, you get 28 days off (25 plus 1 life-event and 2 company-wide reset days).
  • Enhanced parental leave: adding on to the statutory offering, we know how important it is to be supportive at times that matter.
  • Private healthcare and life assurance: flexible options to choose what fits.
  • Health and wellbeing: Employee Assistance Program, Cycle to Work, and more.
  • Pension: paying monthly and offering flexibility to top your pension up.

We continue to build a benefits package that invests in our team members’ long-term personal and professional growth and well-being, adding to this list as it evolves.
