Programme details & commitment
Application Timeline:
- Applications close: November 16th
- Interview invitations: November to January

- Programme dates: March 2026 (exact week TBC)
Time Commitment:
- Full-time attendance: Monday-Friday, 9:00-18:00
- Evening networking events (2-3 during the week)
- Pre-programme: 5-10 hours of reading and preparation
- Post-programme: Optional alumni activities
Programme requirements
We select talented candidates ready to pursue EU policy careers that transform food systems.
Your unique background brings valuable perspective to EU policy-making. If you’re committed to food systems transformation and ready to explore policy as your path to impact, this programme is for you.
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (minimum EQF 6 level)
- Excellent academic records
- EU citizenship
- Possess no prior work experience in any EU institution exceeding six weeks
- Certified C1 in English, French, or German
- B2+ level in another European language (typically your mother tongue)
- Minimum B2 English
- Available for March 2026 programme and able to start new roles by October 2026
What makes you stand out
- Master’s or PhD in any field
- Degrees in rare or STEM fields
- Strong academic record (scholarships, distinctions, prizes)
- Certificates in additional European languages (minimum B2 level)
- International experience (study/work/volunteering abroad)
- Professional experience of 3 to 11 years
- Experience in politics, policy, research, law or rare fields
- Pragmatic approach to creating change
