Job Description

Soundquake is currently looking to expand it’s roster of freelance podcast producers and editors for new and existing podcasts over the next 12 months. We’re not simply looking for those who can show up and meet the spec. We’re looking for freelancers who share a desire to be part of something.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising remote recording sessions with clients and guests,
  • Research for episodes,
  • Editing video and audio episode,
  • Creating platform specific social media clips,
  • Creating show notes and titles,
  • Contributing towards incremental improvements for the show.

We produce podcasts for people, businesses and organisations that have chosen to make the world a better place. It’s not just about the podcast, it’s about the movements that the podcasts are a part of.

Role Requirements

We are looking for freelancers who have the following skills and experience:

  • Confident using Descript to deliver video and audio edits (We can offer a paid Descript seat to the right person)
  • Capable of editing social media shorts
  • Can organise and mange recording/release schedules
  • A good understanding of storytelling and narrative
  • Confident in working directly with the client
  • Happy to work independently but as part of a bigger team
  • Creative and happy to offer up ideas on how to make things better
  • A fan of podcasts in general
  • Can take initiative
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for people who really care about using their creativity and skills for making work that matters with others who care.
