Job Description

At Enode, our mission is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy system by connecting and optimising the world’s energy devices. A fully renewable energy system is dependent on flexible demand that can adapt to the intermittent supply from wind and solar. To create this flexibility, we need to connect to and control the fast-growing demand coming from electric vehicles, heat pumps and other energy hardware. This is what we’re doing at Enode. Our APIs power the next generation of green energy apps, with our customers representing over 250 million consumers worldwide. Yet, we’re still at the start of our journey, and we want exceptional people to join us.

As our first dedicated operations hire, you’ll have a broad scope and will be a key force in building out a world-class operations function to support our scaling efforts as we continue on our journey to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future. This role is ideal for a builder and problem solver with a hands-on approach and a passion for creating efficient, high-impact systems. You’ll lead operational initiatives, processes, and ensure that Enode runs smoothly and efficiently, helping us make real progress toward our mission.

Responsibilities

The role will include (among other responsibilities) the following key activities:

  • Develop and implement scalable processes and systems to support organizational growth
  • Leverage new technologies (including AI) and tools to enhance efficiency and amplify human input
  • Define and monitor key performance metrics to track and accelerate our growth
  • Shape and support strategic initiatives across all areas of the business
  • Oversee and optimise financial operations
  • Lead strategic planning efforts and drive alignment across teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to plan cultural initiatives and events, including our annual offsite
  • Negotiate and manage strategic vendor partnerships to support our goals

Role Requirements

We’re looking for smart, structured, and highly logical individuals with ambition and strong analytical skills. You should be naturally curious, driven to make an impact, and focused on bringing ideas to life.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in operations within a high-growth, VC-backed start-up, or a combination of strategy consulting and operational expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytics and quantitative methods to shape and drive informed decision-making
  • A problem-solving mindset with a talent for dissecting complex challenges and effectively leading change initiatives
  • Intellectual curiosity about our product and the energy transition, with a readiness to explore and master new topics and technologies
  • A hands-on approach and a proactive attitude toward achieving results
  • A deep passion for our mission and enthusiasm for contributing to what we are building
